Day 2: Las Vegas to Ridgecrest to Kernville

It was hot. Air conditioning in the truck on and off to keep from overheating the engine. 

Thanks to Bill and Ann for letting us nap at their comfy air conditioned house in Ridgecrest. Finally had my acrylic nails removed at Star Nails!

Stopped at Indian Wells Brewery outside of Ridgecrest to get a sampler. We both love the Mohave Red.

Headed to Kernville and tried to escape the heat by going up Sherman Pass Road. Allison found a secluded camp site with giant pine cones.

Thanks to Great Grandma Wanda for the leftover pinto beans. We enjoyed them for dinner. Yum!
